When the door is 20+ years old and you don't know who made it, it's hard from the photo on the web to know whether the plug is a good fit. This is not DIY's fault; it's just the problem with some kinds of on-line purchases -- which I don't begrudge because these plugs are very hard to find. For me, it was an "ok but not great" fit, and a little drop of glue was needed to secure each one. From 12", you can tell it's the wrong size. From 5' away, this isn't observable, so I'm ok with the result. I'm not repairing a door in a luxury hotel or golf course clubhouse, so I'm not going to try to find a more perfect plug. DIY shipped it promptly, by the way, which I appreciated.
